A Voice of Warning ...

On Sunday, our wonderful Home Teacher and his son came for their monthly visit. The lesson was from the January 2009 Ensign "A Voice of Warning" by President Henry B. Eyring. He always does a great job of adapting the lesson just for our family to fit our needs just right. He started out the lesson by asking the kids what a voice of warning was. Nate immediately raised his hand and said "Is it when you tell everyone that their TV won't work in February because it is switching to digital?" I thought I was going to die laughing, but somehow I managed to stifle it.

Also, I found out a bit of interesting information. It seems that James Bond and John Wayne are things my husband ranks pretty high on his list of "things to know". Luckily, during our courtship, we were both so twitterpated, the thought of asking if I knew much of either of these things never crossed his mind. And so ... I won his heart. Fast forward to 20 years later ... and we are sitting watching TV and some guy in a blue coat and sun glasses appears with skis and there are people with guns. The guy in blue anxiously anticipating his next move skis down the luge, with no prior experience, mind you, landing perfectly while fighting off the bad guys with their motorcycles and their automatic guns that aim and shoot, but never hit. Who is this guy? I don't know?! Come on! It's JAMES BOND! LOL! And so ... another voice of warning ... "Ya know ... I don't know if I would have married you if I would have realized you didn't know who James Bond and John Wayne were?" LOL!

Nate has a way of putting all things into perspective. I love it....As for James Bond/John Wayne....It's those things that you can laugh about when you have been together for awhile. That is hilarious.
P.S. Thanks again Julia for helping out Sunday!!!!
